Delta Sigma Phi’s Career Accelerator returned for its second year with powerful momentum, bringing brothers from across the country to Seattle from November 14–16, 2025. Hosted at Surf Incubator in the heart of downtown, this year’s program combined immersive employer experiences, individualized skill-building, and meaningful networking to help undergraduates accelerate their careers with confidence and clarity.
Designed for emerging leaders ready to take ownership of their professional futures, the Career Accelerator guides students through who they are, how they tell their story, and how to intentionally navigate the early stages of their careers. With an impressive Net Promoter Score of 91, participants overwhelmingly affirmed the program’s impact, calling it energizing, transformative, and exactly the kind of support today’s students need.
Exploring Seattle’s Innovation Landscape
A major enhancement to this year’s program was the introduction of employer site visits, giving students firsthand exposure to industry-leading workplaces and professionals.
At Genie Lifts, participants toured the headquarters of one of the world’s most respected manufacturers of aerial work platforms. Students engaged directly with professionals from Genie’s rotational Leadership Development Program, gaining insight into careers in business, engineering, and operations. Many described the visit as an eye-opening look into how large organizations innovate and develop talent.
The next day, attendees toured the iconic Boeing Everett Factory, one of the world's largest and most complex manufacturing operations. Students witnessed airplane assembly from the factory floor and learned how Boeing approaches teamwork, precision, and problem-solving at scale—an experience consistently cited as one of the weekend’s highlights.
A Weekend Built Around Individual Growth
The Accelerator’s curriculum also saw significant upgrades in its second year. Instead of packing the schedule with sessions, the program prioritized deeper workshops with clearly defined outcomes.
Participants learned from:
Nicki Joiner, a former Fortune 100 recruiter, on how to translate student leadership into résumés, interviews, and networking conversations that stand out.
Jedidiah Collins, former NFL fullback turned financial literacy coach, on building a practical cash management system for personal financial stability.
Andrew Bremer, whose interactive networking workshop helped students build lasting relationships instead of one-off exchanges.
Luke Zhang, who empowered attendees to navigate the rapidly evolving, technology-driven workplace.
Hank Cycyota, who taught participants how to reframe uncertainty and change into growth opportunities.
Elliott Beach & Dylan Martin, who led a powerful session on everyday leadership and making an impact regardless of role.
Hunter Gurney, who helped students explore life-work balance and well-being as part of a long-term career strategy.
A leadership panel featuring Michael Silvaggi, Barry Kalian, and Stacy Bartoletti closed the program with candid stories and practical lessons from their own professional journeys.
Throughout the weekend, students also enjoyed meals at Seattle landmarks, a networking dinner with local alumni (hosted in partnership with the Delta Sigma Phi Foundation).
Meaningful Feedback and Student Impact
Participants described the weekend with genuine enthusiasm. Many expressed increased confidence in their career readiness, new clarity about their goals, and appreciation for connecting with members from different chapters and regions.
Selected testimonials included:
“This program challenged me in ways I didn’t expect. The workshops helped me identify exactly where I need to grow—and gave me the tools to start.”
“Touring Genie and Boeing showed me career paths I didn’t even know existed. Seeing these environments up close made everything feel more attainable.”
“I left the Career Accelerator knowing exactly what steps to take next.”
The program’s exceptionally high satisfaction and transformation-driven feedback demonstrate the growing power of Delta Sigma Phi’s Launch Careers initiatives.
Scaling Our Launch Careers Pillar Nationwide
The Accelerator in Seattle is just one component of Delta Sigma Phi’s rapidly expanding Launch Careers pillar. Across the country, the fraternity is increasing access to meaningful career development experiences for all members. This includes:
Additional Career Accelerator programs in new markets
Targeted industry networking events
Expanded individual programs like the Braven Fellowship
New partnerships with career services organizations
And beginning next year, Chapter Retreats focused on launching careers, bringing Career Accelerator-style content directly to campuses
These expansions mean more undergraduates, regardless of chapter size, geography, or financial barriers, will have access to professional development experiences that can shape their futures.
Looking Ahead
With stronger outcomes, expanded partnerships, and exceptional student feedback, the 2025 Career Accelerator marks a key milestone in Delta Sigma Phi’s commitment to helping members launch successful, meaningful careers.
Seattle set a new standard, and we’re only getting started.
