In a celebration of community spirit and friendly competition, the brothers of Delta Sigma Phi’s Alpha Theta Chapter at the University of Michigan hosted their first annual charity hockey game against Lambda Chi Alpha at the iconic Yost Ice Arena. With over 70 Delta Sig brothers in attendance, the event brought electric energy and ended in a 2-0 victory for Delta Sigma Phi.
The real triumph of the night was the impact made beyond the rink. Half of the proceeds were donated to the MJR Foundation, which empowers youth and strengthens local communities, while the other half went to the Ronald McDonald House, supporting families with children receiving critical medical care.
This event exemplified Alpha Theta’s dedication to service and outreach. From planning to the final buzzer, the brothers ensured the game was meaningful and fun, showcasing the Fraternity’s commitment to giving back. The tremendous support from attendees reaffirmed their mission to foster connections through shared goals.
Special thanks go to Lambda Chi Alpha for their sportsmanship and collaboration. Their partnership helped make this event a success and highlighted the camaraderie within UofM’s Greek community.
As the cheers faded and the night ended, the brothers were already looking ahead to next year. This annual tradition blends brotherhood, charity, and sports into an event the UofM community will eagerly anticipate for years to come.
