Built to advance the Launch Careers pillar of Delta Sigma Phi’s strategic plan, the Career Accelerator goes beyond résumé reviews or classroom-style lessons. It creates an immersive environment where members explore career paths, strengthen their skills, and connect with alumni mentors eager to help them succeed. National recognition affirms Delta Sigma Phi’s growing reputation as a leading fraternity for career preparation and leadership development.
In its inaugural year, the Career Accelerator earned two prestigious distinctions: the Laurel Wreath Award from the North American Interfraternity Conference (NIC) and the Best Use of a Foundation Grant Award from the Foundation for Fraternal Excellence (FFE). Both awards celebrate innovation and measurable impact, highlighting how the program sets a new standard for fraternity-based professional development.
Launched in January 2025, the first Career Accelerator welcomed 70 undergraduates and young alumni from across the country. Over the course of three days, participants engaged in interactive workshops, résumé and LinkedIn labs, and personalized mentorship with alumni professionals.
The recognition of the Laurel Wreath Award is especially meaningful because the Career Accelerator was the first program we launched as part of our new strategic plan. It affirms that the investments we are making in our young men are strengthening their futures and advancing our mission.

For the Delta Sigma Phi Foundation, the FFE award highlights the role of philanthropy in making the program possible. “This recognition is especially meaningful because it comes from our peers in the fraternal community,” said Adam Stahon, director of annual giving for the Delta Sigma Phi Foundation. “It underscores that Career Accelerator not only reflects our mission to but also contributes to the broader vision of fraternity and sorority life as a force for good.”
The most powerful endorsements, however, came from the participants themselves.
“Attending the Career Accelerator was a turning point for me,” said Aditya Chakravarthy, San Jose ’23. “I walked away with the confidence, skills, and mindset to pursue my goals with focus and resilience. More than anything, it showed me that our alumni are eager to support us — all it takes is reaching out.”

Facilitators echoed this impact, emphasizing the program’s intentional design. “What struck me most about the Career Accelerator was the intentionality behind every session,” said Luke Zhang, Rose-Hulman ’14, Prototype Lead at Resultant. “This wasn’t just a weekend of lectures — it was a thoughtfully curated experience where education met empowerment. I watched undergraduates lean in, ask meaningful questions, and connect the dots between their academic journeys and real-world applications. The program set a new standard for how fraternities can empower their members beyond campus life.”
By blending professional development with mentorship and fraternity values, the Career Accelerator is more than a single weekend program — it’s a launchpad. These national awards affirm that the initiative is not only transforming the Delta Sigma Phi experience but also serving as a model for the interfraternal community.
Undergraduates and young alumni interested in experiencing the Career Accelerator for themselves are invited to join us in Seattle, November 14–16, 2025. This upcoming session will build on the program’s award-winning success with hands-on workshops, alumni mentorship, and networking opportunities designed to help members launch meaningful careers.
