A New Era of Chapter Support Starts Now

Across the country, colleges and universities are starting to kick off their academic years, and our undergraduate chapters are ramping up to have an incredible year! While the Fraternity has always prioritized providing well-rounded chapter support and educational offerings, we’ve made some shifts to ensure chapters receive the absolute highest level of strategic support in all areas of chapter operations. This year, Delta Sig brought two familiar teams under one roof. Health & Safety and Chapter Leadership & Advising are now Undergraduate Services (UGS), a single department built around a simple idea: chapter support works best when it's coordinated instead of siloed.

Meet the team

Aubrey Cala, director of undergraduate services. Aubrey oversees the Fraternity's chapter support, advising, and health and safety efforts, including the Courage & Culture men's health initiatives and the training and development of undergraduate officers, advisors, and volunteers.

Michaela Arthur, associate director of health and safety. Michaela leads the Fraternity's investigation processes and works to ensure a safe, values-based experience for all members. She manages conduct inquiries, partners with chapter sergeants-at-arms and standards boards to deliver targeted training in peer governance, and advises on event planning and risk management protocols.

Sally Klimek, associate director of health and safety. Sally manages the Fraternity’s Courage & Culture suite of health education programming and workshops.

Arianna Nutile and Nick Rodabaugh, chapter leadership and advising coordinators. Arianna and Nick support undergraduate chapters and advisors through personalized coaching, officer development, and leadership education.

Expanded possibilities for undergraduate chapters

A combined department means chapter interactions, feedback, and support don't have to travel through two separate departments before something happens with it. The close working proximity between staff members is what lets UGS move fast on what chapters actually need, and it's already showing up in the work.

Take last academic year's annual assessment. It was our first full cycle, and 81 of our 91 chapters joined a summer coaching call to talk through their results with us directly. That volume of direct conversation surfaced patterns we couldn't have caught any other way: chapters doing strong work that never got captured because expectations weren't clear enough, recruitment sitting at the top of nearly every chapter's priority list heading into fall, and officer transitions showing up again and again as a point where momentum gets lost.

Because UGS owns both the feedback and the response, we've already started building against it. Officer transition resources are rolling out this fall, including pilots of in-person transition retreats. Communication around expectations is getting sharper across every training and touchpoint that chapters have with us. And the Annual Assessment itself is getting a redesign for 2026–2027, expanding to five categories that combine the COE Standards baseline with all four Next Era pillars, so chapters get a fuller picture of the member experience, not just a compliance score. This information also informs the way our team supports and holistically works with chapters, whether through officer coaching calls, chapter conduct processes, or something else entirely.

Whether the question is about advising, conduct, health education, or other ways for chapters to strategically focus on bettering themselves, UGS is built to be one team chapters can count on. Reach out anytime via email: undergradservices@deltasig.org.
