With homecoming behind them, the brothers of Indiana State are looking back on a weekend full of connection, celebration, and renewed pride in their chapter and the place they call home. The crisp fall air, colorful leaves, and energetic campus atmosphere made for a memorable backdrop as alumni returned to reconnect and support the chapter, bringing a surge of excitement that extended beyond the weekend’s festivities.
In the weeks leading up to homecoming, brothers focused on preparing their house for guests. Deep-cleaning projects, small repairs, and general sprucing up revealed surprising details—from the true colors of the walls to overlooked architectural features—turning routine maintenance into moments of discovery and shared pride. Even Delta Sig’s CFO got into the action and joined the brothers for cleaning day, highlighting the impact of being a National Housing Corporation (NHC) managed property. The effort strengthened bonds among the participants and cemented the connection between Eta Upsilon and the home.
Adding to the determination and elbow grease from members was the goal of bringing alumni back to re-engage with the chapter. Undergraduate Property Manager, Ethan Greiwe (‘22), stated, “HoCo was awesome! The alumni are super excited about us having this house. We gave a lot of house tours and really showed it off.” Alumni support and interaction reminded undergraduates that the chapter home is more than just a building—it is a space carrying the history, spirit, and identity of Delta Sigma Phi. By caring for it, brothers help ensure that the house remains vibrant and welcoming for both current members and generations to come.
The Eta Upsilon Chapter is left with more than memories from homecoming. They have a renewed sense of their deep appreciation for their shared living space and a stronger sense of community.
