When Delta Sigma Phi unveiled the Next Era strategic plan at the 2025 National Convention, it set an ambitious course for the Fraternity's future: to become the greatest launchpad for men pursuing educational, professional, and civic success.
One year later, that vision is taking shape.
Throughout the 2026-27 academic year, Delta Sigma Phi is launching new investments and expanding resources designed to strengthen chapters, create more opportunities for members, and support the volunteers and alumni who make the Fraternity experience possible. Together, these initiatives represent one of the most significant investments in the member experience in recent Fraternity history and demonstrate what it looks like to put the Next Era into action.
"The Next Era challenged us to think differently about what fraternity membership should provide. These investments reflect our commitment to creating stronger chapters, expanding opportunities for members, and ensuring Delta Sigma Phi continues delivering a meaningful experience for generations to come."

From chapter growth and leadership development to housing, communications, and member support, the initiatives launching this year represent another step toward delivering on the Fraternity's long-term vision.
Investing in Chapter Growth
At the center of this year's investments is the Green Jacket Initiative, the largest investment in chapter growth Delta Sigma Phi has made in years.
Designed to help chapters recruit the largest new member class in Fraternity history, the initiative combines expanded recruitment resources with meaningful incentives that recognize chapters and individual recruiters for outstanding performance. Chapters that achieve their recruitment goals will have opportunities to earn cash awards, chapter resources, national recognition, and the Green Jacket, a new symbol recognizing Delta Sigma Phi's top recruiters. Additional details will be shared with chapter leaders later this summer.
The initiative reflects more than a recruitment campaign. It represents the Fraternity's continued investment in healthy, sustainable chapters capable of providing exceptional member experiences and long-term success.
Expanding the Member Experience
The Next Era envisions a fraternity experience that extends far beyond the chapter house.
With continued support from the Delta Sigma Phi Foundation, members have access to a growing portfolio of educational and leadership experiences designed to help them succeed during college and throughout their lives. Leadership Institute prepares undergraduate leaders to make a greater impact on their campuses. Career Accelerator connects members with accomplished alumni and professionals while strengthening career readiness. The Civic Engagement Institute explores the relationship between leadership, citizenship, and service, while the Cycyota Volunteer Institute equips volunteers to better support undergraduate chapters.
The Foundation also continues to invest in undergraduate scholarships, chapter retreats, and professional development resources available through MyDeltaSig, including résumé support, financial education, and online learning opportunities. By removing financial barriers to participation, these investments allow more members to benefit from experiences that prepare them for educational, professional, and civic success.
Strengthening Chapters Beyond Recruitment
Creating an exceptional member experience requires more than successful recruitment. It also depends on strong infrastructure, engaged volunteers, and the resources chapters need to thrive.
Over the past year, Delta Sigma Phi has expanded support in several key areas. The National Housing Corporation completed its first full year with dedicated staff support, helping place two chapters into their first chapter homes while providing operational guidance to alumni corporation boards and assisting chapters with facility planning, lease negotiations, and housing strategy.
The Fraternity also introduced a new Chapter & Alumni Communications Coordinator to help chapters strengthen alumni engagement, recruitment communications, and storytelling. More than 25 chapters participated in a pilot alumni newsletter initiative this spring, creating new opportunities to reconnect undergraduate members with alumni and keep graduates engaged in chapter life.
At the same time, Delta Sigma Phi continues investing in chapter success through year-round Health & Safety support, Courage & Culture programming, and enhancements to the Annual Assessment process and Pyramid Program, providing chapters with clearer expectations, stronger resources, and greater recognition for excellence.
Looking Ahead
The coming year will provide new opportunities for members, volunteers, and alumni to engage with Delta Sigma Phi and one another.
Digital Grand Chapter (August 19). A virtual session where we'll walk members through the resources and initiatives now available across the Fraternity.
Next Era in Action Week (April 11–17, 2027). A coordinated week of chapter activity across nearly 100 campuses, with every chapter showing up at the same time in its own community. Chapter toolkits are coming this fall.
National Convention (August 5–7, 2027). We're taking over the JW Marriott Turnberry in Miami for leadership sessions, brotherhood, and a celebration of the year's milestones. Registration opens in December.
FY27 Calendar of Events. Our full calendar of programs, events, deadlines, and opportunities for the year ahead is available now. Check out the FY27 Calendar of Events for a year-at-a-glance planning guide, or subscribe to the National Headquarters Google Calendar to automatically add programs, deadlines, and events to your own calendar and receive updates as new opportunities and events are added throughout the year.
Building the Next Era Together
The Next Era was never intended to be simply a strategic plan on paper. It is a long-term commitment to strengthening the Delta Sigma Phi experience for every member while ensuring the Fraternity is prepared to serve generations of brothers to come.
From investing in chapter growth and expanding educational opportunities to strengthening chapter operations and supporting the volunteers and alumni who make those experiences possible, the initiatives launching this year represent meaningful progress toward that vision.
The work of building the Next Era continues—and with every stronger chapter, every new member, every leadership experience, and every investment in the brotherhood, Delta Sigma Phi moves one step closer to becoming the greatest launchpad for men pursuing educational, professional, and civic success.
