Delta Sigma Phi is proud to share that brother Pat Stephens, Wisconsin-La Crosse ’67, has been awarded the Service Above Self Award—the highest recognition for service given by Rotary International.
A founding member of the Epsilon Iota Chapter, Brother Stephens has continued to pay the debt since graduating from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. He served for more than five decades as ACB president, and also volunteered as a Grand Councilman for four years. He currently serves as a member of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees.
In 2017 Pat was awarded the Mr. Delta Sig Award, recognizing his more than 50 years of dedication to Delta Sigma Phi.
Brother Stephens was awarded the Service Above Self Award, a prestigious honor named for Rotary’s motto “Service Above Self.” The award is bestowed on fewer than 150 members worldwide. He has been a Rotarian for 35 years, serving as president of Rotary Club of La Crosse East, and is widely known for his leadership of Rotary Lights. He’s been Rotary Lights president for all 26 years of its existence.
Pat is known for his service with several La Crosse area festivals. He has helped lead several food drives in the past year, during the COVID-19 pandemic. He has served as president of the La Crosse Convention and Visitors Bureau and as president of Freedom Honor Flight and remains on its board. He is active in service to his church, and has led many other community organizations.
Delta Sigma Phi is proud of Brother Stephens and the impact he has had on his local community. Join us in congratulating Pat on his accolades!
