In the last week of March, the Epsilon chapter at Penn State University earned significant recognition at the university’s 2025 Greek Columns Award Show, highlighting a year of growth, impact, and commitment to excellence.
The chapter received three major awards, along with seven Standards of Excellence recognitions, marking one of its most successful years to date. Among the top honors, the chapter was named Most Improved Chapter, a reflection of the intentional progress and momentum built over the past year. They also received the Respect & Belonging Impact Award, recognizing their efforts to foster meaningful conversations and inclusive spaces through initiatives like Bible studies and their Men to Mensches program, which explores Jewish identity and values.
Additionally, Brother Christopher Temple (Penn State ‘85) was named Advisor of the Year. His dedication, mentorship, and continued investment in the chapter have played a key role in supporting the undergraduate experience and guiding the chapter’s development.
Beyond these top awards, the chapter demonstrated well-rounded excellence across multiple operational areas. The Epsilon chapter earned Standards of Excellence recognition in the following areas:
Academic Achievement
Alumni/Family Engagement
Campus & Community Involvement
Civic Engagement
Council Involvement
Financial Stewardship
Membership Development
These recognitions reflect a chapter that is not only improving, but also building a strong, sustainable foundation across all aspects of the fraternity experience.
Notably, Delta Sigma Phi received more awards than any other IFC chapter on Penn State’s campus this year, underscoring the collective effort and dedication of its members. The brothers of the Epsilon chapter take pride in this achievement and remain focused on continuing their upward trajectory. Their work reflects a commitment to creating meaningful experiences for one another while making a lasting impact on their campus and surrounding community.
Delta Sigma Phi celebrates the Epsilon chapter for this accomplishment and the intentional work behind it. Congratulations to the brothers of Penn State as they continue to demonstrate what it means to live out the Fraternity’s purpose.
