Associate Director of Health & Safety
Michaela Arthur serves as an associate director of health & safety for Delta Sigma Phi, where she leads the Fraternity’s investigation processes and ensures a safe, values-based experience for all members. She manages conduct inquiries, partners with chapter sergeants-at-arms and standards boards to deliver targeted training in peer governance, and advises on event planning and risk management protocols.
Raised primarily in South Carolina, Michaela earned her B.A. in Mass Communication from Winthrop University in 2016 and her M.Ed. in Higher Education Student Affairs from Western Carolina University in 2018. She’s worked in student development through university housing in various roles across the south before moving to West Virginia to serve as an area coordinator at Marshall University, where, in 2022, she transitioned to the assistant director of student advocacy and accountability.
Based near Huntington, West Virginia, Michaela is passionate about fostering positive growth through accountability. She also serves as an advisor for Chi Omega, the sorority of which she is a proud member. In her free time, she enjoys spending breezy Appalachian days on the porch with family, tackling home-improvement projects with her wife, Ashley, and sharing what she cooks with loved ones, including her four-legged best friend.
