OSHKOSH, WI – Delta Sigma Phi-Epsilon Beta is proud to announce Brothers Doug DeRosier (’91) and John Close (’72) have been selected for induction into the chapter’s Hall of Fame.
The induction ceremony will take place at the Epsilon Beta chapter house located at 555 Algoma Blvd during the chapter’s 2024 University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Homecoming celebration on Saturday, October 19.
DeRosier and Close will join John Kelly, Jim Rath, and Ron Schreier who were selected as the first three members of the Epsilon Beta Hall of Fame in 2023.
DeRosier is a Two Rivers, WI native who now resides in Delafield, WI. A member of the Epsilon Beta Fall 1991 pledge class, DeRosier is a Senior Surgical Acute Account Manager for Solventum (formerly 3M Healthcare). DeRosier, who graduated from UW-O in 1996 with a major in Communications, is also a member of the Epsilon Beta Alumni Committee Board (ACB.) He now serves as the chapter’s Housing Director and has spent countless hours executing funding and improvement projects for the chapter’s 555 Algoma Blvd. fraternity house.
Close pledged Epsilon Beta in the Spring of 1972 and is a retired sports media and marketing specialist, Close graduated from UW-O with a degree in Radio-TV-Film Communications in 1976. He has stayed active in Epsilon Beta assisting with chapter communications and brotherhood engagement initiatives. He is currently a member of the Epsilon Beta ACB and the Communications Director for the chapter’s 2024 Homecoming Celebration. Close, who will also receive the UW-Oshkosh Distinguished Alumni Award at Homecoming this year, is a Manitowoc, WI native and now resides in Charlotte, NC.
This year’s Delta Sigma Phi-Epsilon Beta Hall of Fame ceremonies will be a part of the annual DSP-EB Homecoming festivities. The Saturday, October 19 event from 1:00-6:00 p.m. will celebrate the 60th anniversary of the chapter’s 1964 founding as well as the 40th anniversary of its rechartering. A buffet-style BBQ, a 50-50 raffle that will directly support Active Chapter funding initiatives, and a Silent Auction featuring multiple items/experiences from the Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers with all proceeds used to support the 555 Algoma House Maintenance Fund will also be held.
An 1899 Celebration, and recognition of the 125 th -Anniversary of Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity, will round out the full list of activities at the ‘Triple Nickel’ – the DSP Epsilon Beta’s 555 Algoma Blvd. fraternity house – on Saturday, October 19.
