Alumni Recognition
Bucky Boland Awarded 2022 Eureka College Alumni Board Award for Service
Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity is excited to announce that brother Bucky Boland has been awarded the fall 2022 Eureka College Alumni Board Award for Service. The Zeta Upsilon alum has volunteered for his alma mater by serving on the alumni board for over ten years, engaging with current students as a mentor, and promoting Eureka to his students at Iowa-Grant High School, where he teaches social studies and drivers education to students in grades 9-12. Brother Boland also serves as the advisor to the student council and IG Leo Club.
As an undergraduate member, Bucky served as an officer of his chapter as well as a member of the undergraduate advisory council. While an undergraduate he also helped organize food and clothing drives, worked to raise funds with his chapter for national philanthropies, collected financial contributions for campus organizations and local charities, and helped to organize events through multiple leadership roles. Bucky has continued to serve in leadership roles as an advisor for chapters at Eureka College, UW-Platteville, and UW-Madison. He has also served as a volunteer facilitator at the Delta Sigma Phi Presidents Academy, Bruce J. Loewenberg Membership Summit, Conclaves, RLA’s and chapter officer workshops.
Bucky says his membership in Delta Sigma Phi helped him understand the planning and organization behind community service work and to reap the rewards of a job well done when events are successful.
Delta Sigma Phi is proud of the achievements and community service that Brother Boland has offered to his brothers, to Eureka College, and to his community.
