Job Summary:

The Digital Communications Coordinator will play a crucial role in producing engaging video content, managing social media, ensuring chapter communications are on-brand, and capturing stories from Delta Sig events nationwide. We seek a creative and reliable individual with experience in social media management, graphic design, and video and audio editing for this role. This position reports to the Director of Communications.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be expected to do the following.

Travel (30%), Production, and Storytelling:

  • Attend Delta Sig events across the country to capture stories, interviews, etc.
  • Produce content that highlights the impact of Fraternity initiatives and the achievements
    of its members.
  • Create high-quality video content for various platforms, including promotional videos,
    event highlights, and member stories.
  • Manage the entire video production process, from concept development to editing and
    final delivery.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Communications to develop a visual storyboard for our
    125th anniversary celebrations.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure video content aligns with the Fraternity’s
    messaging and branding.
  • Work closely with the Delta Sigma Phi Foundation team to align storytelling efforts with
    fundraising goals.
  • Assistance with brand redesign
  • Publishing stories with relevant industry and local and national news outlets and to the
    Delta Sigma Phi website

Social Media Management:

  • Develop and implement a social media strategy to enhance the organization’s online
    presence and engagement.
  • Create and schedule content for all social media platforms, including Facebook,
    Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  • Monitor social media trends, respond to interactions, and analyze performance metrics
    to optimize future posts.

Chapter Communications:

  • Collaborate with the Director of Communications to provide education and training for
    undergraduate chapters to improve brand consistency
  • Assist chapters in creating and distributing e-newsletters that adhere to the Fraternity’s
    branding guidelines.
  • Provide guidance and resources to chapters to improve their communication strategies.

Miscellaneous:

  • Support other communications projects as needed, such as The Carnation national
    magazine, annual reports, event programs, etc.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to overall communications strategy
    development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in video production, social media management, or
    related roles
  • Photography and videography
  • Proficiency with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) and
    graphic design (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Quark Xpress)
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and analytics tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel frequently and work flexible hours, including weekends, as needed
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently
  • Creative mindset with a passion for storytelling

Compensation:

  • $55,000 – $60,000 salary with bonus potential and travel budget
